Apollo 8: The Mission That Changed Everything

book cover art

Six months before Neil Armstrong set foot on the Moon, the U.S. Space Program claimed victory over the Russians. The winning mission was Apollo 8, the first time a manned space craft orbited the moon. The mission was so risky even the NASA Flight director believed the astronauts only had a 50% chance of returning safely to earth. On The Point, Mindy Todd interviews Martin Sandler about his new book Apollo 8- The Mission that Changed Everything.
