Dance - Dance - Dance for a Cure, & more: Best Bets for the Weekend

Cape Cod Times / Christine Hochkep

Dancing for a Cure, the exuberant fundraiser to fight cancer, returns for a 5th year, bringing together hundreds of people of all ages to dance and dance and dance (and dance).

Right, it's a dance marathon!  It's at Cape Cod Academy on Saturday evening, and proceeds benefit the Friends of Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and its Cape Cod outreach program. More details.

Some great basketball moves are on display Sunday afternoon, when the Harlem Rockets come to Mashpee to take on the Mashpee Wampanoag Dream Team. It's a fundraiser for Mashpee Wampanoag elder services, and a lot of the playing will be for laughs. More details.

The winter session of the Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival brings together interesting films and people to talk about them. Come flop down on the sofas to enjoy the movies and join the conversation. More details.

Longing for Spring? Head to the Seed Swap Party that’s happening Saturday at Truro Public Library. More details.

Steve Junker and Kathi Scrizzi Driscoll discuss upcoming events every Wednesday on All Things Considered. Audio of this week's conversation is posted above - give it a listen.
