Just about every fisherman has a camera in his pocket now, thanks to the smart phone. But face it, that doesn't mean you know how to take a good picture of your catch.
This isn't just about vanity. As catch-and-release becomes increasingly popular, the photo itself is often the trophy, while the fish goes back in the water.
And even if you're keeping that bluefish or striped bass to serve for dinner, do you really want the memory of it to be this: you looking sweaty with your face in shadow and clinging to a drooping fish?
No, you don't.
Andy Nabreski, photo editor at On The Water magazine, gives us tips for taking better fishing pictures this week on The Fishing News. We've also got a round-up of the fishing action, with news of white marlin and bluefin tuna. It's all in the audio posted below - four minutes of fishing talk - give it a listen.
