JazzFest Falmouth is Bigger Than Ever, & more: Best Bets for the Weekend

New Black Eagles Jazz Band

Hey you gorgeous weekend, let's go out and have fun.

Music, film, beer, theater -  take your pick of activities to explore. JazzFest Falmouth starts this weekend, and there are more events planned than ever, because now the festival runs more days than ever. Enjoy the Jazz Stroll, and the New Black Eagles Jazz Band at Woods Hole Community Hall is a show not to miss for sure.

The Manhattan Short Film Festival is going on here, there and everywhere - it's a film festival in many places at once. Locally, film fans in Wellfleet, and on Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket, can enjoy the screenings and vote with people around the world for the winners

The third annual Cape Cod Brewfest happens Saturday at the Fair Grounds. More than 50 breweries will be on hand with more than 200 beers to sample. If you like craft beer, you'd better hops to it (ouch).

In Provincetown, the Tennessee Williams Festival continues with its tradition of providing performances in unusual places and with startling authenticity (one play features the actual cooking of chicken).

Steve Junker and Kathi Scrizzi Driscoll discuss upcoming events every Thursday on All Things Considered. Audio of this week's conversation is posted above - give it a listen.
