A Reflection in Words and Music on the Last Days of WW1

artscapecod.org

Sunday is Veterans Day and the 100th anniversary of the Armistice that ended fighting during World War One. Historian Gregory Williams and pianist-composer Jacqueline Schwab join us on The Point to discuss how war was reflected in the music and verse of the time, both at home and on the battlefield. They’re collaborating on a presentation titled Battle Lines- Poetry and Music of the World Wars.

Battle Lines will be performed at the First Congregational Church in Chatham on Saturday, November 10th, at 4pm and again On Sunday Nov 11th at 4 p.m. in West Barnstable, at the 1717 Meeting House.
