Salvadorans in New Bedford Face Uncertain Future After Trump Administration Revokes TPS

The Trump administration recently announced it was canceling Temporary Protected Status, or TPS, for some 200,000 immigrants from El Salvador. The program has allowed those people to live and work legally in the US. 

A number of Salvadoran immigrants live and work in New Bedford, and “Morning Edition” co-host Brian Morris spoke with Helena DaSilva-Hughes, Executive Director of the Immigrant’s Assistance Center in New Bedford, about what happens now.
