Tropical Storm Jose Brings Rain, Winds and Flooding to Cape and Islands

National Weather Service, weather.gov

Tropical Storm Jose drew nearer to the Cape and Islands on Wednesday, bringing with it periods of heavy rain, blustery winds and a one- to three-foot storm surge in some areas.  The National Weather Service said the storm would also cause significant beach erosion around the region possibly into Saturday, as the storm system hovered more than 100 miles offshore.

WCAI's Kathryn Eident checked in with Science Correspondent Dr. Heather Goldstone to learn more.
