Weekend Outlook: 28 Different Theater Shows, Plus Quahogs, Movies & more

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe in onstage at the Cape Cod Theatre Company through August 7 - just one of the many productions theatergoers can enjoy in the next week.

If you’re a fan of live theater, this is a banner week for Cape stages, with a show for pretty much everyone—especially if you like musicals. Here's a rundown of what's out there.

If you ever wondered who makes the best stuffed quahog on Cape Cod, you could find out on Sunday at the Hyannis Quahog Challenge, a benefit for the Housing Assistance Corporation.

Kids are always welcome to check out the unusual and sometimes macabre art by Edward Gorey at the museum set up at his former home in Yarmouth Port. But this Saturday the museum offers an event completely about kids, with the8th Annual Fantastagorey.

And looking ahead, the Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival begins on Monday with a week of great films in the line-up.
