During the Yom Kippur holiday, a Jewish flag defaced with swastikas and references to white supremacy was left at the Falmouth Jewish Congregation. The hate crime sent ripples of outrage, shock and sadness throughout the region. On The Point, we discuss how to address this undercurrent of religious and racial intolerance as individuals and a community.
Guests on the program are as follows: Robert Trestan, Regional Director from the Anti-Defamation League of New England; Barbara Dougan, Civil Rights Director at the Council on American Islamic Relations, Massachusetts Chapter; Rabbi Caryn Broitman, of Martha’s Vineyard Hebrew Center; Rabbi Elias Lieberman, Falmouth Jewish Congregation; and Rev.
