Poetry Sunday: Anne O’Regan

Anne O’Regan shares the poem, 'Northern Lights in Western Maine."

I have deep roots on Cape Cod. My grandmother was born in Cataumet. My great-grandfather was a sea captain, his wife, my great-grandmother, ran an inn. I've spent copious amounts of time on Cape Cod. I have sea salt in my blood. But I'm also a wanderer. Most recently I've wandered to western Maine, where I bought a little cabin to summer in. Like the Maine loons, I winter on Cape Cod. I have written a book, Tamed. A City Girl Walks from Mexico to Canada on the Pacific Crest Trail, and have been published in The Rumpus and other journals.
