Feds to Address Pilgrim Nuclear Material Storage
The state advisory panel on the decommissioning of the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station is scheduled to hear tonight from two federal nuclear officials about the storage of radioactive material.
John McKirgan, a branch chief at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, is set to speak at 7:35, along with another NRC official.
Pilgrim closed in May of 2019, but containers of spent nuclear fuel are being stored on the Plymouth site indefinitely.

The discussion is part of the regular meeting of the Nuclear Decommissioning Citizens' Advisory Panel, which starts at 6:30 p.m.
