Making Connections with Young People

Dan Tritle/CAI

Research shows that just one trusted adult can have a profound impact on a child’s life. We see greater engagement in school and community activities - better overall health and fewer risk behaviors. We talk with Brooklyn Raney author of One Trusted Adult, as well as our local chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Falmouth Volunteers in Public Schools about opportunities to connect with our young people and the benefits for them, and ourselves.

Our guests:
Brooklyn Raney, educator, administrator and coach. Her book is titled One Trusted Adult How to Build Strong Connections and Healthy Boundaries with Young People.
JR Mell, regional director Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod and the Islands.
Tracey Crago, Executive Director Falmouth Volunteers in Public Schools
