Eastham Celebrates Windmill Weekend, & more: Best Bets for Going Out

Our late-season surge of summery weather sets the stage for another event-filled weekend. Eastham launches its 37th annual Windmill Weekend, featuring a vehicle show, a pancake breakfast, a tricycle race, the Windmill Weekend Parade, and more.

Mashpee becomes a mini Formula One racecourse for one of the Cape's more unusual fundraising events – the14thannual Seaside Le Mans, a four-hour endurance race on very tiny race cars. 

Maybe you don't need the buzzing engines, and all you want is good eats? Head to the Cape Cod Fairgrounds in East Falmouth for the second annual Cape Cod Food Truck Festival - where the bountiful selection of tasty treats will be supplemented by live music, beer and wine, sampling tents, and a craft market.

If you're in the mood to settle in with a paper bucket of popcorn, the Martha's Vineyard International Film Festivalcontinues through Sunday, offering short films and features from around the world.

And next week, Provincetown lights up the transition to the “offseason” with its Afterglow Festival, bringing 17 different performances to town over seven days.
