Andy Cambria

Here comes the first weekend of 2015 - don't let it slip by without enjoying some good music.

On Sunday theWoods Hole Folk Music Society welcomes the trio Low Lily. The group is new, but regulars on the scene might recognize its members.

Truro Public Library is kicking off a local music series running Saturday afternoons at 1 through January and February. This week, come out to hear vocalist Cerise Bynoe with the Charlie Jamieson Trio, featuring jazz, with a little R&B and Latin.

On Saturday, Woods Hole Film Festival continues the popular winter pastime of "Dinner and a Movie." This year a short walk is factored in too! This week's flick is the Winding Stream, which tells the story of the American roots music dynasty, the Carters and the Cashes.

And looking ahead, Barnstable Comedy Club starts out the year with a play that asks its actors to do a lot more than learn lines - they'll have to prepare food to, as part of the play "Kitchen Witches."

Steve Junker and Kathi Scrizzi Driscoll discuss upcoming events every Thursday on All Things Considered. This week's conversation is posted about - give it a listen.
