Getting Spooky! Halloween Events to Put a Thrill in Your Weekend

This is the last weekend before Halloween - so don't let it slip away without a giving yourself a little Halloween thrill.

The Drama Club at Barnstable High School welcomes you to a "Haunted Schoolhouse" that features a homecoming dance "gone terribly wrong" - and other ghoulish and imaginative horrors.

The Harvest of Horrors at Tony Andrews Farm in East Falmouth will do its best to scare you, with live actors, animatronics, and special effects.

If you're looking for family friendly Halloween fun, the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster celebrates "Green Halloween" on Sunday.  And Heritage Museums & Gardens in Sandwichmarks the holiday with its “Halloween Family Fun Nights.”

And Cape Cinema has an original take: the 1927 silent classic horror flick "The Phantom of the Opera" is screened with an original live score performed by Cape Cod's own The Infra-men.

Steve Junker and Kathi Scrizzi Driscoll discuss upcoming events every Thursday on All Things Considered. This week's conversation is posted above - give it a listen.

Steve is Managing Editor of News. He came to WCAI in 2007. He also hosts the weekly News Roundup on Friday mornings and produces The Fishing News.
