For the first weekend of April there are events to get you outdoors, as well as stage antics to make you laugh. Here's a round-up.

Some things about the current presidential campaign may make you want to scream, but there’s a comedy and music troupe called the Capitol Steps coming to Hyannis that will try to make you laugh at current politics instead. More info.

The Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum opens for the season Friday, and that will also start the centennial celebration there of an important year in the town’s history. More info.

If you’ve ever walked in the woods and wondered about animals tracks, there’s a workshop on Saturday morning in Harwich to teach you tracking skills and more.  More info.

There are two other nature-related workshops coming up related to species who are in trouble. On Sunday, in Brewster there's a talk about "Winning the War on Pollinator Decline." And next Wednesday, in Provincetown, the Center for Coastal Studies has a talk about noise pollution in the ocean. More info on both events is here.

Steve Junker and Kathi Scrizzi Driscoll discuss upcoming events each Wednesday on All Things Considered. Audio of this week's conversation is posted below - give it a listen.

Steve is Managing Editor of News. He came to WCAI in 2007. He also hosts the weekly News Roundup on Friday mornings and produces The Fishing News.
