Former Coast Guard officer Adrian Loya is accused of fatally shooting fellow Coast Guard officer Lisa Trubnikova, and injuring her wife and a Bourne police officer, in 2015.

Developments today include:
- 3 witnesses took the stand: the arresting officer, a neighbor of Lisa and Anna Trubnikova who videoed the scene outside the condominium on the night of the crime, and the officer who determined whether the devices Loya left scattered at the scene were explosives.
- Prosecutors say Adrian Loya set his Mazda ablaze near the Trubnikovas' Monument Beach condo on Roundhouse Road, to block police from responding to the shootings.
- In opening statements, prosecutors said that Lisa's murder was a "revenge killing" for a sexual assault Loya experienced while serving in the Coast Guard with the Trubnikovas in Alaska, and that he'd been planning the attack for months.
- Loya's defense argues that Loya suffered from a mental disease at the time.
- In court, Loya occasionally stroked his beard, but otherwise sat motionless.
The jury will hear from first responders and the victims' relatives later this week.
