New Cape Tech School on Track to Open in 2020

On a sunny autumn day, Cape Cod Regional Technical High School Superintendent Robert Sanborn took a small group of visitors on a tour of the new Cape Tech in Harwich.

The new school is being built adjacent to the existing one and promises to offer a good deal more natural light - something Sanborn proudly emphasises -  as well as flexible space for learning or gatherings.

The new Cape Tech will incorporate the STEAM curriculum: science; technology; engineering, the arts and mathematics, and, at 220,000 square feet, it will do so in just a little more space than the current, oudated Cape Tech building.

Voters in Cape Tech's member towns overwhelmingly supported construction of the $128 million new school and the state will pay a significant portion of that cost.
