S Junker

WCAI News Director Steve Junker hosts a roundup of some of the top local and regional news of the week, including: members of the Kennedy family gather to say a final goodbye to Saoirse Kennedy Hill, granddaughter of Robert and Ethel Kennedy; local spraying will begin after mosquitoes bearing the virus EEE are found in Woods Hole and Falmouth; Cape towns continue tallying the bill for the July tornadoes.

This week's guests are Cindy McCormick of the Cape Cod Times; Holly Pretsky of the Vineyard Gazette; Tim Wood of the Cape Cod Chronicle; Josh Balling of the Nantucket Inquirer and Mirror; K.C. Myers of the Provincetown Banner; and Sarah Mizes-Tan of WCAI. And we round up news from the Statehouse with WCAI's Kathryn Eident and Mike Deehan.

Other stories we talk about include: public shut out of shark strategy meetings; Beach Road Weekend takes over Tisbury; suit to block skydiving in Chatham is dismissed; shark sightings close beaches on Nantucket; tourism numbers may be down this year on the Outer Cape; sale of Pilgrim Nuclear powerplant has state's AG and principals at odds.
