Ocean Documentary, Storytelling, and Antiques: Best Bets for the Weekend

what.org

From storytelling to studying sea creatures to learning about antiques, there's plenty to do this weekend.

Everybody has interesting stories in their pasts, and Woods Hole Theater Company is hosting two nights for nine community members to tell some of theirs, in a program called "Tales and Anecdotes."

Creatures of the sea are a subject of fascinating for many people on the Cape, and there are two events coming up involving local experts talking about our oceans. The first is a film presentation at Wellfleet Harbor Actor's Theater of the movie Acid Ocean, with a discussion to follow, moderated by WCAI's own Heather Goldstone. And Cape Cod Beer continues its Wildlife On Tap serieswith a discussion about Cape Cod's sharks, and how much can be learned about them through new methods of tracking.

There are a lot of antiques lovers on the Cape, too, and, coming up, a local group is combining a lot of advice into one day of learning. More info.

Steve Junker and Kathi Scrizzi Driscoll discuss upcoming events every Wednesday on All Things Considered. Audio of this week's conversation is posted below - give it a listen.
