Do you really think it's a coincidence that Father's Day falls in the middle of the season for some of the best fishing around the Cape and Islands? If you're wondering what to do to celebrate this coming weekend, consider planning a fishing trip for Dad. Here are some things to keep in mind, to make it a success.

Kevin Blinkoff, of On The Water magazine, points out that this is a great moment for bottom fishing. Setting up a charter for bottom fishing is easy, promises a lot of action, and can be fun even for people who don't often go fishing. You'll bring home plenty that's good to eat: scup, black sea bass, and maybe even fluke. And you don't have to worry about inexperienced people casting (flailing around lures with sharp hooks), because bottom fishing only requires dropping your baited hook over the side and waiting for the bite.

We've got more details in the audio posted below.

Also in the audio post, find out why your best bet for good-size stripers this weekend may be in Cape Cod Bay. Give it a listen.
