Poetry Sunday: Mary Wagley Copp

Mary Wagley Copp reads her poem, "Freddie Gray, Jr."

Mary has had a varied career in public health, non-profit management, documentary filmmaking and, most recently as a picture book author. Her debut book, WHEREVER I GO, was published in April by Atheneum/Simon and Schuster. Picture book writing is similar to writing poetry and as Mary works on her picture book manuscripts, she is inspired by many poets – and even tries a few poems herself! Mary teaches ESL to newcomers and loves to garden and swim. She lives with her husband in Westport, MA.
