Talking with Vietnam Veterans 50 Years Later

J. Junker
In The Point Studio: Mindy Todd, Cyndy Jones, Jaqueline Loring, and Gary Loring

Anyone who lived through the Vietnam War era knows it was a fractious time in American history. The war grew increasingly unpopular over time and many Americans expressed disdain and hostility toward returning military personnel for their service in Vietnam.

In addition, those returning from Vietnam were often coping with Post Traumatic Stress long before it was recognized as a behavioral health disorder requiring treatment. On The Point, we discuss how Vietnam Veterans have fared over the past fifty years.

Guests on the program are: Jacqueline Murray Loring, author of the new book Vietnam Veterans Unbroken: Conversations on Trauma and Resiliency. Gary Loring, a veteran from the Vietnam War. Cyndy Jones, President and Founder of Heroes in Transition, a nonprofit offering supports and services for returning military and their families.
