Steve Heaslip / Cape Cod Times

The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe has its own way to give thanks at this time of year and will hold that event on Saturday. More info.

It’s a week before Thanksgiving, but we’ve got the first Christmas-themed play in a local theater. That’s “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” at Cotuit Center for the Arts. More info.

Looking ahead, next week there are two annual traditions to plan for, to start off the holiday season - the Nantucket Historical Association’s 17th Annual Festival of Wreaths, and there’s the lighting of the Pilgrim Monument in Provincetown. More info.

Steve Junker and Kathi Scrizzi Driscoll discuss upcoming events every Wednesday on All Things Considered. Audio of this week's conversation is posted below - give it a listen.
