Weekend Outlook: Labor Day Holiday Events, and How to Make the Most of Summer's End

Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer - but that doesn't mean it has to be the end to summer fun. Here's what's happening this weekend, and some ideas for extending your fun for weeks to come.The Truro Agricultural Fairtakes over the center of town on Sunday and the organizers have found many fun ways to teach crowds about local foods, including "The Zucchini 500."

Mike Birbiglia is a comedian who’s played at the Melody Tent and all over, plus done various roles on TV, and on Saturday, he’ll be in Dennis to talk about his time as a filmmaker.

Patti LuPone is one of the last stars coming this summer to area Broadway series, and she’ll be bringing a new show on Friday to Martha’s Vineyard and on Sunday to Provincetown.

And we’re coming up to Labor Day weekend, which is the unofficial end of summer, but here are 15 ideas to make those last few days of the season count.
