The year 2018 was challenging for Cape and Islands police departments, after Yarmouth Police Sergeant Sean Gannon was fatally shot serving an arrest warrant in April. In July 2018 while police and the community were still reeling from Sergeant Gannon’s death, two Falmouth officers were shot while responding to a call. Fortunately the injuries to Falmouth officers were not life-threatening. On The Point, we host a roundtable discussion with some of our local Chiefs of Police. We hear about the work the police are doing across our region, and stories of cases that help officers and the public know the value of the work they do.
