Housing Options for Adults with Autism

capecodvillage.org

As individuals with Autism enter adulthood, there is often a desire for more independence. Others may no longer be able to live with their aging parents. On The Point, we discuss two new housing communities on the cape for adults with Autism, some of the programs offered for residents and how the residents will be integrated into the larger community. Cape Cod Village is set to open in January of 2020: it’s comprised of two 4 bedroom houses for adults with Autism and includes a community center offering programs for residents and the greater community.

Guests on the program are Bob Jones, co-founder of Cape Cod Village, and Jim Sperry with NEEDS: North East Educational and Developmental Support Center which will staff the residences at Cape Cod Village.
