Our region has significant historic resources- preserving them keeps us connected to our past and also is a draw for tourism. But preserving and maintaining historic structures is expensive and often at odds with economic development. We discuss the challenges and opportunities for preserving historical structures on the Cape and in New Bedford.
Guests on the program are: Teri Bernert, Executive Director of the Waterfront Historic Area League, (WHALE), Rachel Alison, Historic Projects Manager at WHALE, and Ellen Briggs, founder and executive director of the fledgling nonprofit based on the Cape, Protect our Past.
