The Hidden Brain

Why do we choose who we'll fall in love with? Or which candidate gets our vote? We may think our decision making is rational, yet many choices are guided by our unconscious mind. On The Point, our roundtable of behavioral health experts explore what shapes our unconscious mind, and in turn, how it shapes our decisions.
Shankar Vedantam, host of the radio program The Hidden Brain, also wrote a book titled The Hidden Brain: How Our Unconscious Minds Elect Presidents, Control Markets, Wage wars and Save our lives. The book served as a jumping off point for our discussion. Guests are as follows: Psychiatrist Marc Whaley, Psychiatrist Jonathan Schwartz, and Social Worker Ann Geagan.
Here's a link to the "Implicit bias test" mentioned on the program.
