March 10th 2020 Gov. Baker declared a state of emergency to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. Two years later we have a vaccine, treatment options and an understanding of how the virus spreads. But is the pandemic really close to over? What is the likelihood deadly and highly contagious variants will continue to emerge? And are Americans ready to respond again should the need arise?
