Dark but not silent, the ocean is rich with sound. Marine mammals and fish use sound to communicate, find food, mates, and to avoid predators. But human made noise from vessels, oil and gas exploration and sonar are drowning them out. Mindy Todd talks with Denise Risch Senior Bio-acoustician at NOAA about the impacts of ocean noise on marine mammals.
