Poetry Sunday: Shelby Allen

Shelby Allen reads her poem "Crack Willow."

Shelby Allen is a writer and actress living in Falmouth and Boston. She lost her voice in a hard-to-summarize trauma she went through at 17.  She got her voice back, sort of, but not her real voice where she could say what she means.  That happened through poetry (and theater). "Crack Willow" is the title poem of her book, subtitled Poems of Transformation.
