Eliza grew up in South Yarmouth and worked summers in Dennis. She wrote and published in her twenties and thirties, raised children, taught English, became a U.U. minister and published a book on aging. Retired, she returned to her first loves: poetry and spending time on Cape Cod, preferably on Herring Pond in Eastham.
