Some People Are Disappointed With Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree

RACHEL MARTIN, HOST:

Good morning. I'm Rachel Martin. Rockefeller Center put up its Christmas tree yesterday, and let's just say it's not the most majestic evergreen to grace the plaza. There were plenty of comparisons to the sparse, drooping tree from "A Charlie Brown Christmas," which might be the perfect thing for 2020. It's a 75-foot Norway spruce with some noticeably crooked branches. One user wrote, I love this tree because it's a Charlie Brown tree. It's not bad at all. Maybe it just needs a little love. Honestly, it sounds perfect. It's MORNING EDITION. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
