Working to Prevent Substance Abuse

With a growing opioid addiction epidemic facing our region and much of the country, parents are rightfully concerned about educating their children about substance abuse. What is the right age, and what is the best messaging? On The Point, we talk about prevention efforts, and parents supporting other parents whose children are in recovery. Guests on the program are: Kevin Rosario, Gosnold’s Outreach Coordinator and Recovery Coach; and  Patricia Mitrokostas, Gosnold’s Director of Prevention. Also, two parents who are part of a support group called Parents Supporting Parents: Lisa Murphy, who organized the group; and Jeff Lowe, a parent in the group. Sean Corcoran hosts.
