Many people enjoy collecting items or keeping things that have sentimental meaning. But taken to the extreme, collecting can impact physical and emotional well being. We hear the story of a woman whose own hoarding tendencies prompted her to found Clutter’s Anonymous on the Cape, and we talk with members of the Cape Cod Hoarding Task Force about the identifying and supporting those with hoarding tendencies.
Guests on the program are as follows: Denise Egan Stack, mental health consultant for the Cape Hoarding Task Force, board member at the International OCD Foundation and an affiliate with Massachusetts General Hospital's OCD Clinic. Erika Woods, Environmental Specialist and Sanitarian for the Barnstable County Department of Health and Environment, Chair of the Cape Cod Hoarding Task Force. Lori Miranda, member of the Cape Cod Hoarding Task Force Executive Committee and the Dennis Animal Control Officer. Mindy Todd hosts.
