Karen Elizabeth Sharpe reads her poem, "The balance in question."

Karen Elizabeth Sharpe lives in North Central Massachusetts with her husband on an old farm. Her poems have appeared in Columbia Journal of Literature and Art, the Comstock Review, Canary, the Worcester Review, MassPoetry Poem of the Moment and elsewhere. She is an assistant vice president at  Worcester State University, raising money for scholarships for deserving students, many of whom wouldn't have an affordable opportunity for higher education otherwise. Her interest in poetry is rooted in a fabulous grade school introduction to Dickinson, Frost, Poe, Sandburg and others. She spends the rest of her time with beloved family and friends, in her garden, and exploring the wild outdoors.
