Woods Hole's Eel Pond Drawbridge was replaced just three-and-a-half years ago, at a cost of more than seven million dollars. Hurricane Sandy, this past October, left the bridge's motors inoperable. Now the bridge must be raised manually and is being opened only once a week. The repairs could cost the town $100,000.
