Nurse: Moderna Vaccine Has Arrived On Cape Cod

The first batch of the newly approved Moderna vaccine for COVID-19 may have already arrived on Cape Cod.

Barnstable County public health nurse Deirdre Arvidson tells CAI that Cape Cod Healthcare has received a shipment of the Moderna vaccine.

The vaccine is the second to be approved for coronavirus.  Last week Cape Cod Healthcare received its initial batch of the Pfizer vaccine.

Cape Cod Healthcare didn’t respond to requests to confirm that it now has the Moderna vaccine.

Additionally, Arvidson says Barnstable County is working on plans for a clinic on the campus of the county offices to vaccinate first responders.

No date for that has been announced.
