Blizzard Day

Power outages and storm surge the big story today, as the blizzard continues.  As of midday a majority of Cape Cod homes and businesses remain without electricity, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket faring much better. Coastal flooding and beach erosion expected for Sandwich to Brewster, Provincetown to Chatham, and east-facing beaches on Nantucket. 

A road travel ban continues today for the duration of the storm.

Snow continues throughout the day. Northwest winds gust to 60 mph through the day, dropping to 50 mph in the evening, and 40 mph gusts overnight.

Temperatures drop into the teens overnight.
