Get Out the Mittens: Blast of Winter Weather Approaching

After a long spell of relatively dry weather, we received much-needed rain this week, with the Cape and Islands picking up roughly an inch of (Nantucket caught more - about an inch and half).

Looking ahead, seasonal temperatures hold for the weekend, and then arctic air swoops in. Meteorologist Phil Burt of CapeCodWeather.netis forecasting temperatures to drop sharply Monday night into Tuesday. Wednesday is likely to see December-like chill, with temperatures not climbing out of the 30s. The cold should hold on several days. Get out the winter clothes!
