Poetry Sunday: Joan Wick-Pelletier

Joan Wick-Pelletier reads her poem, "Black Bird Tree."

Joan Wick-Pelletier started writing poetry at a young age and was included in Songs of Youth by the American Poetry Society. Throughout an academic career in the US and Canada, a writing pad was always close at hand for poetic ideas, but formal poetry took a temporary back seat. Now happily retired and living in Eastham, Joan has been mining her notes and editing old drafts with pleasure and satisfaction. Recently, her work was included in the poem of the month series at the Brewster Ladies’ Library.
