Poetry Sunday: Lanny McDowell

Your browser doesn’t support HTML5 audio

Lanny McDowell reads his poem, "Basement Walls."

Lanny has lived most of his adult life on the Vineyard. The Island inspires his paintings and provides the subjects of his photographic concentration: bird life. He aspires to provoke awe, ignite respect, and nurture responsibility for natural surroundings. "We continue to discover ways in which apparently different forms of life are connected and not as distinct as we once thought," he says.
