Feds to Resume Review of Vineyard Wind

Sarah Mizes-Tan

The wind farm proposed for south of Martha's Vineyard appears back on track with its federal permitting process.

The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management announced Wednesday that it will resume its review of the 800-megawatt Vineyard Wind project.

A Vineyard Wind spokesperson said the announcement puts the company on track to finish the project by 2023.

The company announced in December it would pull the project from federal review under the Trump Administration to complete an internal study.

Vineyard Wind determined last week that no changes were necessary, and that the federal permitting process could be completed under the Biden Administration.
