SpaceX’s unmanned Crew Dragon capsule successfully docked with the International Space Station, which could set the stage for the first U.S. manned spaceflight since the shuttle program ended in 2011.
The Japanese space agency landed a spacecraft on an asteroid, just long enough to extract some material from the asteroid’s surface for later study.
Japanese astronomers also detected a possible intermediate mass black hole, the “missing link” in understanding black hole formation.
