Learn more about what's going on in the world of astronomy as WCAI's "All Things Considered" host Brian Morris speaks with Dr. Regina Jorgenson, Director of Astronomy at the Maria Mitchell Association on Nantucket.

This week they discussed the following:

SpaceX’s unmanned Crew Dragon capsule successfully docked with the International Space Station, which could set the stage for the first U.S. manned spaceflight since the shuttle program ended in 2011.

The Japanese space agency landed a spacecraft on an asteroid, just long enough to extract some material from the asteroid’s surface for later study.

Japanese astronomers also detected a possible intermediate mass black hole, the “missing link” in understanding black hole formation.

Looking Skyward airs every two weeks on WCAI.
