Looking Skyward: Newly discovered galaxies test understanding of dark matter

Astronomers have recently discovered two galaxies that might present a challenge to a broadly accepted theory of how galaxies form.

In this edition of Looking Skyward, CAI's John Basile discusses this discovery with Dr. Regina Jorgenson of the Maria Mitchell Observatory on Nantucket.

This is an extended version of Looking Skyward. It includes material not in the piece that aired on CAI.

John Basile is the local host of All Things Considered weekday afternoons and a reporter.
