Going forward, only recreational fishing will be allowed. The change aims to reduce public nuisance problems along the canal and simplify enforcement of fishing limits. But some fishermen worry about the precedent it sets.

This week on The Fishing News, Steve Junker and Kevin Blinkoff, of On the Water magazine, discuss the changes to Canal fishing announced on Wednesday by the the state's Division of Marine Fisheries.  Also, we round-up the fishing action, including the arrival of bigger bass to Cape waters.
