After Setbacks In Battle, Syrian Rebels Seek Victories In D.C.
The new Syrian rebel leader Ahmed Jarab is in D.C., trying to get more support. He is meeting with members of Congress and the State Department, as well as National Security Adviser Susan Rice. President Obama is also expected to drop by. While the U.S. is considering stepping up its secret weapons shipments, some military analysts and officials say this aid may already be too late.

American Killed At Protest In Egypt ID'd As Kenyon Student
Andrew Pochter, 21, was from Chevy Chase, Md. He was in Egypt to teach English to children. It appears he was attacked on Friday while watching an anti-government protest in Alexandria.
Aide to Sen. Rand Paul is recovering after an assault in Washington, D.C.
Paul described the attack as brutal, and said a suspect had been arrested. The incident comes as a House panel this week holds the first in a series of oversight hearings on D.C., including on crime.
