Nor'easter to bring heavy wet snow, strong winds, flooding, power outages

Tavenner To Replace Berwick As Medicare Chief
Marilyn Tavenner, a nurse, is set to succeed Dr. Donald M. Berwick as administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Tavenner is the agency's principal deputy administrator and will serve on an acting basis as administrator during the confirmation process.

A report released by human rights organization Walk Free found that the number of people living in modern slavery, including forced marriage and human trafficking, has grown to 50 million since 2018.
Cape's public transit system could be almost entirely electric in 12 years
The Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority has laid out a replacement schedule for 127 buses, vans, and trolleys. The ambitious project could make the Cape a leader in electrified public transit across a national stage, but transit officials initially hoped to transition away from oil and gas even sooner.
