On The point, we talk with three women about their journeys rising to the top of their professions. What helped shape their path, and what were some of the obstacles and opportunities? We also discuss some character traits and skills that good leaders possess, and their thoughts on how to prepare more diverse individuals for leadership positions.
Guests on the program are:
Sandra Stosz, Vice Admiral in the USCG retired and the first woman to head the Coast Guard Academy. Her recently published book is titled Breaking Ice and Breaking Glass, Leading in Uncharted Waters.
Judy Walden Scarafile, sports journalist, pharmacist and retired president of the Cape Cod Baseball League
Dorothy Savarese, Chair and CEO of Cape Cod 5. She has also served in positions at the Federal Reserve and the FDIC, and was chair of the American Bankers Association.
